Join us Thursday April 27, 2017 at 6:30pm for an evening of food, wine, and chocolate, and help feed the children in our neighbourhood. The Chocolate Challenge pits 8 of Vancouver’s best chocolatiers against each other in a competition to create the best original chocolate. As a guest, you will sample and vote on your favourite creation.
In addition to chocolate, your ticket includes tastings from
Earnest Ice Cream, The Preservatory, Stumptown Coffee, Tacomio, Tartine Tarts, Terra Breads, and Yorshire Tea.
100% of ticket sales, silent and live auction proceeds will go to the Strathcona Backpack Program and Project Chef.
The Strathcona Backpack program strives to ensure that local children have access to nutritious food on the weekends, in addition to weekday meals provided by the school funded food program. Every Friday, children pick up a backpack of foods to fill the hunger gap of the weekend. The Backpack program now feeds over 275 children weekly.
Project Chef is a school program geared towards children in Kindergarten to Grade 7. It aims to teach children about healthy food choices and enables them to make nutritious meals for themselves.
