Flow Home Staging

Are you thinking about selling your home? Having it “staged” could mean the difference between it selling in a flash – or sitting on the market for much longer than you’d anticipated. That’s why the professionals from Flow Home Staging are here to help, and we recently caught up with their owner Isabelle Guay to ask her some questions about her business, and how it all got started. flow home staging logoOriginally from Montreal, Isabelle started out her career with a kinesiology degree, and taught as a fitness instructor before making the move to Vancouver and following her dreams. “I knew I wanted to start my own business,” Isabelle tells us. “I took a home staging course, (and) then started this. I have always had a passion and interest in this, and I wanted to work for myself.” The company began in Isabelle’s home office over eight years ago, before blossoming to a larger space, and later moving to the current office located at 1860 Powell Street. Offering consumers staging services, consultations, and full interior design — no job is too big or small for the team at Flow. They’re a favorite amongst the Real Estate community, and are pros when it comes to getting the job done. flow home staging staff “From renovating kitchen and bathrooms, right now we’re doing a media room. We can design the whole thing basically from choosing light fixtures, painting, (and) wallpaper,” Isabelle says. Staffing certified interior designers, and even an upholstery master — Flow has covered all the bases when it comes to specialty home design. “We have a good creative team,” Isabelle beams. Isabelle says she’s proud of the growth of her business, and despite the day-to-day challenges of being a business owner, she is thankful for the amazing team of professionals she’s surrounded with. “For me, it’s the interaction with my team. Our team culture and our environment – I always have fun when I come to work. At the beginning it was just myself and my husband was helping, but now we have four staff, and we’re growing. Yes, it’s sometimes challenging, but I love the fact that we’re growing.” A resident of East Van, Isabelle says she loves the diversity the area offers. “I love how the area is eclectic and cool; and everyone is super down to earth,” she says. “I love being able to shop local, for everything. I love how I can walk everywhere. I like having everything close and being able to support the local business.”
