Meet Gerry Brandon from the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Catering

Meet Gerry Brandon he is a Chef, Educator, Business Consultant, Mentor and Public Speaker working in Food Security. Now the Chef/Manager of Catering for the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre. Gerry is originally from Ontario where he is a member of Dokis First Nation (Anishinaabe). As well a graduate of the renowned Stratford Chef School and has worked alongside many world-famous Chefs, led 5-Star Country House Hotels, appeared on television and also in magazines. As a former “troubled youth”, Gerry has spent many years working with and mentoring young people across Canada. Gerry’s vision for First Nations is “strength through education, qualified by traditional values”. He spends his time in the community offering perspectives on Food, Life, and Education. – chii meegwetch
