Program Overview

The BIA develops and undertakes programs to improve and beautify the area as well as promoting the area as a complete experience rather than as individual businesses.  BIA’s have also expanded their programs to include social issues and community work programs, as well as community planning and business recruitment.  BIA’s respond to and reflect the needs of individual areas; they can initiators of revitalization projects, coordinators of civic planning process, addressor of street issues, and an important element of district economic development.
