Meet Kristy, Alexis, and Ryan at Jackalope’s Neighbourhood Dive, recently opened at 2257 E. Hastings. Kristy and Alexis co-own next-doorLong Live Cats and Dogs, and the Southern-inspired restaurant is their latest venture, this time with Ryan, who has 15 years experience working as a chef. Ryan loves preparing his dishes, which include free-range meats sourced from Windsor Meat Co. East Village, to perfection. “I get a real sense of satisfaction when I know something’s been done just right,” he said. “Food makes people happy,” said Kristy, who loves seeing the area grow. “There are so many hidden gems here.” Drop in to try their re-imagined southern comfort food soon.
