Business Feature: Billy Would.

Billy Would. (2168 E. Hastings St.) is a very special store in the East Village, Hastings Sunrise neighbourhood for a multitude of reasons, one being that the mind behind this genuinely creative, and sincerely welcoming storefront is entrepreneur, artist, and business owner Adea Chung. For over 16 years, Billy Would. owner Adea has been at work creating one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted wooden jewellery pieces, and accessories using recycled skateboards and discarded offcuts. Everything at Billy Would. is carefully curated, locally made with a strong focus on environmentally conscious sustainability, and clean design. Adea aims to change how we look at waste and our relationship with this discarded precious resource.

“The residents (of East Village Vancouver) are so welcoming. They really want to support local independent businesses in their neighbourhood. There is a really strong sense of community here. Not just with the residents but the other local businesses as well. Everyone is always supporting and looking out for each other.”

-Adea Chung (Owner, Billy Would.)

With the 1 year anniversary of being open in our neighbourhood, next month (June, 2023) Billy Would. will be celebrating with great prizes for customers, and in-store events. Now is the perfect time to become a fan of this incredibly charming, and delightfully cool store in our area! Go check them out!

“I love that the area feels very much like a community, quickly making friends through the store who regularly pop in to chat, it’s the best!”

-Adea Chung (Owner, Billy Would.)
