Chocolate Challenge 2017 – Tickets | Thursday April 27 |$75.00

Join us Thursday April 27, 2017 at 6:30pm for an evening of food, wine, and chocolate, and help us feed the children in our neighbourhood. The Chocolate Challenge pits 8 of Vancouver’s best chocolatiers against each other in a competition to create the best original chocolate. As our guest, you will sample and vote on your favourite creation.

In addition to chocolate, your ticket includes tastings from Earnest Ice Cream, The Preservatory, Stumptown Coffee, Tacomio, Tartine Tarts, Terra Breads, and Yorshire Tea.

100% of ticket sales, silent and live auction proceeds will be to the Strathcona Backpack Program, Project Chef and the Vancouver Firefighters `Snacks for Kids` Program.

The Strathcona Backpack program strives to ensure that local children have access to nutritious food on the weekends, in addition to weekday meals provided by the school funded food program. Every Friday, children pick up a backpack of foods to fill the hunger gap of the weekend. The Backpack program now feeds over 275 children weekly.

Project Chef is a school program geared towards children in Kindergarten to Grade 7. It aims to teach children about healthy food choices and enables them to make nutritious meals for themselves.

Vancouver Firefighters Charities (VFC) – Snacks for Kids Program
Vancouver Firefighters feel that no child should go hungry at school. The snacks are distributed discreetly through an accessible distribution system that allows the child to participate anonymously without fear of humiliation or being judged by peers. VFC’s Snacks for Kids Program is funded with VFCS Member Payroll Donations and by Fundraising events. Snacks go to only to children who are not having their nutritional needs met at home or by  other support services.

Taste and vote on your favourite creations by:

Bearfoot Bistro, Chez Christophe, Chocolate Arts,  Ganache Patisserie,  Okanagan College, Purdy’s Chocolatier, Temper Chocolate & Pastry, and Thomas Haas.
