Over the past year there has been a growing concern about the effects of a vegan diet on digestive health. Some individuals have even shifted away from a plant based diet because digestive concerns arose or pre-existing digestive issues failed to improve.
Dr. Nagra and Shawna Barker BSc, RHN believe this is due to a lack of education about vegan diets amongst the public and health professionals alike.
It’s not uncommon for any health concern to be blamed on veganism due to a lack of understanding and this results in health professionals advising patients incorporate animal products back into their diets without scientific validation.
Shawna and Dr. Nagra aim to clear up the confusion on the subject of digestion and equip you with the knowledge necessary to prevent or improve the most common digestive concerns.
