Reconciliation in Action is a fun and inclusive event that will engage diverse community members, organizations, artists, as well as Indigenous and non-Indigenous community leaders in a variety of activities that celebrate and build off the strengths and diversity of the local neighbourhood. Our hope is to help facilitate new relationships and shared understandings while acknowledging the past, confronting difficult histories and advancing towards a future of shared possibilities, responsibilities and mutual respect.
The event will showcase some of the collective efforts and successes of Hastings Community Centre and several area partner groups over the past year as part of their commitment toward reconciliation and inclusion in the local neighbourhood. It will also create an opportunity for other groups and individuals who want to join and be a part of this ongoing inclusion work to sign up to receive information and invitations regarding future community meetings, activities and events.
There are still tables available for organizations and vendors for the RIA Community Event. If you would like to reserve a table please contact Scott Maxwell at maxwell@ourplace-vancouver
We are asking that organizations and vendors setting up tables arrive at 2:00 and be ready for 2:30.
A big thank you to all our sponsors for their continual supports!
