Grandview-Woodland Community Plan Update

A very quick update on the Grandview-Woodland Community Plan – and in particular our consultation on the design of the proposed Citizens’ AssemblyThe Grandview-Woodland Planning Team has extended the deadline of our on-line questionnaire to account for the Family Day holiday on Monday. The questionnaire is now available until midnight February 10, 2014. This is your chance to weigh in on key aspects of the design of the Assembly, including:

  • Guiding Principles
  • Composition of the Assembly (community representation & numbers)
  • Mandate and Tasks (the work of the Assembly)
  • Products of the Assembly and broader community engagement

Please help us to spread the word about this engagement opportunity by inviting your friends, colleagues and neighbourhood networks to participate.

ABOUT THE GRANDVIEW-WOODLAND COMMUNITY PLANIn April 2012, the City initiated a new Community Planning process for Grandview-Woodland. When completed, the plan will provide long-range guidance on a variety of issues – including housing, transportation, parks and public space, social issues, arts, culture, heritage and more. The new plan will replace an older Local Area Plan developed between 1979-82.
