Local Artisan Market (August 9th)

Celebrate Local Creativity with IWMS & East Village BIA 
Kamloops Plaza (Kamloops & East Hastings) has become a vibrant gathering space in the heart of the neighbourhood and on Saturday, August 9th from 11AM–3PM, it’s transforming into a showcase of art, music, and community connection!

The East Village Vancouver BIA is proud to partner with IWMS members and friends to bring you a pop-up market full of talented local creators and artisans. Come by to meet the makers, enjoy live music, take part in interactive demos, and support small businesses rooted in our diverse, historic neighbourhood.

Stop by to meet and support these talented local artisans and creators:

  • Alé Silva Art is the creative studio of Vancouver-based artist Alejandra Silva. Her work celebrates women, emotion, and empowerment through whimsical, dreamlike illustrations. Available as original paintings, prints, and custom commissions.
  • Chimera Design is local Vancouverite, Nancy Nesbitt’s way of sharing her passion for creating fire-breathing fashion for people and pets. Products are hand-crocheted or beaded and yes – custom orders can be made
  • Chloe Greenberg is a life coach and art teacher passionate about helping ambitious, goal-oriented individuals become their own biggest cheerleaders. She offers art classes that encourage those new to art to overcome a fear of perfection and self-doubt.
  • Dorriz is an intuitive channel, abundance coach and financial consultant. She offers Tarot and Astrology readings, abundance coaching, as well as financial literacy and financial planning. 
  • Ingrid Broussillon, The WoW Culture founder is an energetic and fun presenter who utilizes improv to build confidence and facilitate learning for her group participants.   • Jewels By Maez believes that jewellery should tell a story – yours. Each piece is thoughtfully-handmade using natural gemstones, sparkling Presciosa crystals, and high-quality precious metals.   • Phyto Ingredients Beauty, cosmetic & personal care products. Non-toxic cosmetics for non-toxic people! Scientifically-proven, plant-based products designed locally by a PhD in Natural Pharmaceuticals.
  • POM & CHI is a pet boutique that makes minimal aesthetic goods for the eco-conscious pet parent. They specialize in making zero-waste beds and bandanas for small dogs. All their products are made in small batches by hand, in Vancouver, BC.  
  • Sammi Creations offers handcrafted polymer clay, resin and gemstone jewellery made in Vancouver. Each piece is lightweight, wearable art—playful colours, nature-inspired textures, and limited small batches so every customer discovers something unique. 
  • ST Art. Stephanie Tu is an artist based in Surrey, B.C. She has been painting for many years and enjoys creating oil paintings and art print products. Her inspirations include Canadian land- and city-scapes plus pet and human portraiture, and flowers!
