Meet Massimo, Joe, Vince, and Elena at Sorrento Barbers, 2417 E. Hastings. Joe opened the store over forty years ago, when Massimo and Vince each had their own barber shops to his east and west. “When I bought the store, everyone said I was crazy. ‘There’s already two barber shops there!’ they said.” says Joe. But Massimo soon joined him, in 1973, and Vince arrived a few years later. Stop in for a shave or haircut and say hello – you’ll hear all the news in the neighbourhood and enjoy a good laugh, too.
